How to Barbecue Chicken


Many people get intimidated when it comes to cooking a whole chicken. The stuffing, ingredients, herbs, spices, and cooking time, all play a very important role when you want to know how to barbecue a whole chicken. The best way to barbecue chicken is to let it marinate for as long as you can and then place it right over the grill. But, if you want, you can even use your oven inside the house to do so. For cooking the real deal, let's get on with the article, shall we?

Barbecue Chicken Breast

Ingredients
  • 6 tablespoons barbeque sauce, your choice
  • 4 tablespoons garlic, chopped
  • 3 lbs boneless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • cup Allspice seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, for taste
Directions

In a large bowl, big enough that you can dip the chicken breasts in, mix garlic, barbecue sauce, salt, pepper, and olive oil properly. Place chicken breasts in the mixture, coat thoroughly, and let it marinate for half an hour. Start your barbecue and place marinated chicken on it. Cook on both sides for about 10-12 minutes, depends on your taste (charbroiled or tender) and serve with side of fried rice.

Barbecue Chicken Legs

Ingredients
  • 2 chicken leg quarters
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon steak sauce
  • cup ketchup
  • Hot pepper sauce, for taste
Directions

To cook this next recipe, take a large skillet and place chicken legs in canola oil. Once brown, remove them in a baking dish. In a different bowl, mix Worcestershire sauce, sugar, steak sauce, vinegar, hot pepper sauce, and ketchup properly. Take this mixture and pour it over the chicken legs. Coat properly and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Place the legs on your barbecue grill and let it cook properly for 15-20 minutes. Serve with a side of French fries.

Barbecue Chicken Thighs

Ingredients
  • 12 chicken thighs w/skin
  • 6 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • cup soy sauce
  • teaspoon dry mustard
  • cup ketchup
  • cup brown sugar
  • cup barbecue sauce
  • cup chili sauce
  • Vegetable oil
Directions

In a pan, add all the ingredients except for the vegetable oil and chicken. Mix everything properly on high heat and then over low heat for 10 minutes. With a cooking brush, apply vegetable oil on the grill and turn the barbeque on. Add salt and pepper over the chicken thighs and place over the grill for cooking. Place the skin part on the grill first and let it cook for 8 minutes or till it turns brown. Turn it over and cook on the other side for 8 minutes as well. Take barbecue sauce and brush over the chicken thighs while it's still on the grill. Once the chicken is cooked on both sides, serve it with some barbecue and ranch sauce.
