How to Make Onion Rings from Scratch
While choosing onions for onion rings; go for the wide ones and not the tall ones. This is because, you will be able to get wider rings from the wide onions. Go on slicing rings till you reach the end of the root. When you reach the end, (which is actually the top, when you hold an onion in hand), slice of the root in a circular way, from the center. You can easily separate thick onion rings, but if they do not get separated, place the ring between your palms and gently squeeze them in an oval shape. Move it in your hands for a few times. The rings will get loosened up, now you can easily separate them. But remember to start the separation from the innermost ring. Your literal onion rings are ready!
